When you're a child, the behaviour that you model is what sends the most powerful message. And in different was i kids, you use to love yourself and then go do all sorts of self destructive things to yourself as a parent. You'll have a leg to stand on when you move out into the world and you start to be able to actually say yes to your own community,. sayYes to your own sense of identity, sayyes to your own language. There's been this really powerful evolution of language. Being non binary taught me that the relationship between use of appropriate nouns and respect.
