Compassion Is a Feeling Word, Not an Action Word
In Paul's definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13, the first descriptor on the list is, quote, love is patient. All sorts of studies have been done by clinical psychologists on the decline of compassion in our nation over the last few decades. The only chance we have of living a compassionate life is to slow down long enough to hear other people and consider how they feel.
