Swindled: The Story of Madeline Murray

Madeline Murray is a leading figurehead of atheism. She dedicates her life to maintaining the separation of church and state until one day she, along with her family and minor fortune, banishes off the face of the earth on this episode of Swindled. Their fleeing Baltimore in 1963 after allegedly assaulting five police officers who were trying to retrieve our son Bill's underage to run away girlfriend from their home. Eventually the Murray settled in Austin, Texas where they established what would become one of the largest atheist organizations in North America.
