What if the City Dragged Their Feet?

Carston was put up by a small group of people in the late nineteenth century. At no stage really were bristolians themselves involved as as a population. Is this not an example of the cultural space being controlled by small groups of people? It feels like something being done to the city outside the democratic process is, rather than something the city decidied to do. Well, the city dragged their feet, didn't they? You know? But what happened that day, happened that day. I, for one, am really proud of the four and proud of the ten thousand people that marched that day.
