Theory that we actually have to think in hypothetical experiences that we could have, right? So if we want to say what it means that the cat is on the mat, we think about all the possible future interactions. And he says there's grave objections to this view, which is how can we know that there is something the representation is related to? That's the thing in itself problem. How do we know the mind-independent reality? He quotes Mill and I had no idea Mill ever said this, but that material things are quote unquote permanent possibilities of sensation. This is the theory that I like the most.
