The Importance of Outer Accountability
The difference between a people pleaser, a bludger and like you said, a curmudgeonly obliger is the people pleaser. It might look like obligers are people pleasers but sometimes they don't really care if the other person is happy. They're just following those outside expectations, but they're not doing it to be liked per se.
