I think that it's worth emphasizing that these audiences feel newly empowered. And they are empowered in a lot of ways by new technologies, and not just their ability to call into a radio show. One of the stories that i love from this book is there's a group of activists who want to hold like a convention of the states. They see this organization of this conference as a conspiracy being organized to take their power away. So they start using fax trees like that wi s this is amazing,. That they're using like faces to generate this conspiracy theory and like, spread it far and wide. It's a proto chane mill, it is.
