The End of Howard Hughes' Relationship With Katherine Hepburn
In 1940, after they had broken up, Katherine Hepburn moved into the guest house at Howard's Hancock Park Estate. By this time, rumors of Hughes's rampant man-horring had reached Ginger Rogers. One day, he insisted that she accompany him to the dentist, and she refused. That afternoon, Hughes got into a car accident which knocked him out and landed him in the ICU. In his room, he blamed the car accident on her. When you refused to go to the dentist with me, I was so upset I crashed into another car.
