The Modernist Era
Modernity can be broken up into a bunch of eras, and this is what got me thinking about these different time periods. Although we're not modernists as the philosophers and historians would have it, I think we're all kind of modernity-yists to make up a fake word using Hellens in my non-standard use of the term modernity. So some of these would be like liberalism itself, capitalism, communism, great societies,. manifest destiny, the French civilizing mission.
