MPs are supposed to be on social media reacting to whatever's going on on Twitter, being on the media. But a lot of it is supposed to be about legislation scrutiny. And if you don't have expertise in that scrutiny, how do you get it done? A lot of that detailed scrutiny ends up falling to the House of Lords. The average MP has got like a few people pretty much straight out of university to be their key researchers on this stuff.
