Whether It's Cardiogenic or Septic Stimulation?

If your cardiac output is not adequate, hypoperiferal perfusion is not good. That's a sign that the patient will do better with mechanical ventilation. The other risk is that the patient working very hard because of the stimulation due to lung injury may develop what we call the patient self-inflicted lung injury. We have some good experimental evidence but in patients it's hard to know when it happens.
