The most synodal thing I've seen our bishops do here in America, is that at the November 2021 meeting. They voted on it with near unanimity and an extraordinary kind of near unanimity. The interesting thing is that authentic consultation often does breed consensus. It doesn't mean I'll just listen to you and nod along until you stop talking. No, I am not.
