The World Is More Resilient Than It Is Stable

If we could potentially bifocate the world into two totally separate, like halves, thatht tha barely had any contact with one another, or you had to go through a quarantine in get to the other half. Would that, hypothetically be good idea in order to increase alina's suscentibility? If you could start off with there being two separate planets operating independently and half the population on each, that would be better. But given where we're at, i don't think there's a way for that divorce to go amicably, and even in a much earlier time.
