If a sufficient number of stakers, participents in the network became malevolent, you know, faulty included and malicious, whatever, the correct miners could band together and fork the chain. Of course, it would be very disruptive, but to reap the bad guys is like unbounded cost. So even if justa five % would be honest, they could simply slash the 95% away. But less everyone, yes, mineit wers with proof of stake.
