Is There a Difference Between Music and Dance?

Allan Kepler's theory that music and dance can tell us about society is controversial. He tried to come up scores based on different ways of dancing, singing or playing instruments. But he was criticised for not being able to test his theories in the same way as normal science does. And if we use intonation tunings instead of those used by ancient musicians it sounds like an arbitrary movement with no rhyme or reason. We also need a new tuning system which would allow people to play more complex pieces such as Palestrina macha’s ‘Mona Lisa’ without losing their original sound.
