What's the Symbol of Death?
In the Bible when things die, they're often ripped in half. That's often the symbol of death, to be torn in half. Even Adam, the first time he experienced death, he went into a deep sleep and while he was in a deep sleep,. Then he comes back to consciousness again and it's a new world. It has a new covenant relationship on the other side of this death-like experience. When Jesus says his own resurrection, is like Jonah coming out of the whale, you see, this deep sleep is like death.
