The Earth's Not Going to Sustain Us

The only thing that prevents the growth of knowledge is our desire to do so. We will start local, we will spread global, and then we will move cosmic. There is absolutely no law of physics preventing this. And moreover, this same thing that allows us to support ourselves here on the earth is the very thing that ultimately makes us significant in the cosmic scheme of things.
