A slightly greater probability of analgesic benefit of at least 10 points was seen at 6, 12 and 24 hours but that effect disappeared at 48 and 72. Few patients had an effect greater than 20 and of those that did it was limited to 12 hours and effects greater than 30 were absent. As with any therapy we again need to weigh the potential benefits with the potential harms.
