Using Function Based Views in a Web Application?

Luke: I've mentioned function based views and shown like a hello world with it, but said, I want to get you up and going and we're going to backfill. But then I want to show like build something out that's like a 20 line function based view and then be like, this is why generic class based views exist. He says he prefers manipulating one or two lines of an existing generic class based view. "I prefer doing what Luke writes" instead of writing custom code which repeats a lot.
