What Is Satisficing?

Satisficing would be like maximising the probability of being above some particular value, is that right? Well it may not necessarily maximise it, but just provided you're maybe sufficiently high up in the ordering of your actions, that's good enough. So then you stop valuing any improvement beyond that? Yeah, something like that. Is this the same as kind of having bounded utility in a way? Well. so I was thinking it was different that maybe you were allowing unbounded utility, but you're not insisting on maximising this overall quantity. You just say, near enough is good enough. And satisficing says, oh no, you don't need the best. Voltaire
