The Dissidents' Power to Suppress Speech
CNN's Anderson Cooper hosted a town hall meeting with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday. CNN anchor John Berman said the event was "disturbing" and asked why people were so upset about it. In response, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted: "We understand your concerns but don't let them get in the way of our mission to tell the truth." The audience responded by saying they didn't care if he spoke for 10 minutes or 30 seconds; then booed him when he finished his remarks.
