The Importance of Remote Asset Management

The killer use case for the IoT, as it was just starting to be called, was remote asset management. And I tell you, having lived as we all have through the last 18 months of COVID, it really has reinforced the value of that business case because you couldn't get people out to your assets. You can deploy AI anywhere along this architecture. So I like to actually look at this in terms of what we call asset intelligence, meaning AI deployed at or close to the edge.
