How to Ventilate Your Cold Frames

I always err on the side of venting because if you're growing your crops colder, venting more often, they're going to grow stronger and just be more vigorous. I have two cold frames that I bought that were cold frame kits - one European polycarbonate model from Lee Valley which is like a nice thick polycarbonate. And it's really nice structure, easy to vent because it's got a screen on top. To make it a little more winter hardy he hilt up leaves and straw and soil and evergreen bows around the outside to obviously give it more insulation for winter. He also has another one made from cedar and quite thin for male thick poly carbonate
