Is Academic Different Than Everything Else?

The relaxation of what are basically IQ tests, right, the relaxation of cognitive standards for entering universities is exactly in in parallel with the decline in standards. And so you're in this situation where okay like correlation equals causation, but this is at least a pretty strong candidate. The customers are mainly trying to buy, you know, association with intellectual impressiveness, but the rationale for the prestige that academic gets they usually give in terms of intellectual progress. So academics usually claim that what they're about as intellectual progress and that's why you should support them and that's what they're giving the world. But most most of the customers are actually buying just those that prestige by association.
