What Does the Corporation's Amendment Improved Outcomes for Litigation Funding Mean?
The legislation is currently before the senate. Keren says it will make it more difficult for plaintiffs to seek justice. The bill would ensure that litigants were the people who are launching the class action, they would get a bigger share of the money if they win. But by imposing this minimum flaw on the payout, it might mean that litigation funders decide not to fund these cases because they can't afford it.
