Are Walls a Good Focus Tool?

We have fences, not walls, because we want to see what's beyond. Walls can't be useful though, especially as a focus tool. There will be places that you run into things that you didn't want or you didn't expect. And in terms of travel, i feel like that's road construction. But even entertaining cause those opportunities will come.
