The Relationship Between God's Thoughts and Properties
Conceptualists have suggested that God's thoughts can play the role of properties. But a concrete object does not seem to be the sort of thing that is exemplifiable anymore, and particulars are not exemplifiable, but rather exemplify. As mental states, thoughts are characterized by intentionality being about things, not by things falling under them. If this is right, then the conceptualist who wants God's thoughts to play the roles of properties still has plenty of work cut out for him if his view is to commend itself as an attractive option for theists.
