The Importance of Reinforced Concrete
The Albert Lake Bridge is a direct precursor to the Ingles skyscraper built just 15 years later in Cincinnati, Ohio. The innovation of messing with the bar to help it bond with the surrounding concrete is still used this day. We put deformations on the reinforcing bar so that the concrete will hold on to it.
