Ritchie canada switches to a new instrument he's gone from tenor saxophone to clarinet and yes obviously i had to learn his clarinet parts. The whole groove has a kind of a new orleans bounce to it so it makes sense that canada would switch to a more trudge as instrument the clarinet we're also temporarily back in the key of f this second section when the groove comes in moves down a step back to f like i mentioned this song swings back and forth between the key off and the key of g that stop time section is in g but then for the second section they move to f  it kind of feels less like they're going back to
