The Paradox of Sociology

Sociology is failing as a science, not because epistemologically, it isn't a science. You could ask very important questions as a sociologist and then apply the tools of the scientific method in exactly as rigorous away as any other scientist. But if you push it beyond the domain of its validity, which a lot of people were doing in sociology, you can't treat a human system like you can with atoms. It's certainly an anathema to the science and it's a source of dog man religion and unfortunately secular religion and what you and I might call autism.
