The Law of God and Sin

The Bible also helps us to understand what sin is by the use of metaphors. In Scripture we see sin described metaphorically as a burden that is placed on the shoulders or burden that we bear, also a stain. The level of our guiltiness before God, it all goes back to the law of God. And I think it's important to always go back to God when we're talking about defining sin because nobody else has the authority to define sin.
