The Effects of Perchlorate Salts on the Surface of Mars

Mars can give us an understanding about what was the atmospheric or the hydrological conditions of the liquid in which it formed. So gyrocyte forms in a very oxidizing atmosphere and in a very acidic atmosphere. We thought that why not check if bromate can oxidize manganese in fluid-like conditions on Mars? And we started these experiments in 2018, mid-2018 to run for like two and a half years. The results were finally published last December.
