I love Great Book, but just be clear, I love Great Books programs. But there is a sort of understandable, as a human thing, snootiness to people who do those kinds of programs because they have to justify the impressive choice that they made. The American founding did was take these ideas, yes, from Locke and, and Hobbes and, and antiquity, and from the phyllis office and all these places. And actually empirically, practically, apply them as an actual modus vivendi for a society in a way that didn't seem inauthentic or inorganic. That is just shockingly new in human history.
