i was asking around a few friends to see if they'd ever come across this phrase, just to try and gauge how unusual is it. Do people generally know what it means? One of them reminded me that once we went to the opera at glinborne, and we were having our picnic in the grounds beforehand,. And e one of our group got very panicd because they thought a sheep was about to charge over and start eating our sandwiches. But no, there was a big ditch in the way.
