Is God the Origin of All Things?

The idea that God is his own origin, he doesn't have some sort of external causal agent. In more traditional academic theological circles, you'll hear this referred to as Osseity. The term comes from a Latin word for self-existent: Osseitas. If God ceases, if I cease to exist, God remains. So it helps us to remember our dependence on him for life.
