How to Set Expectations for Your Relationship
If you have a person in your life that has constantly hurt you and you are worried about being around them because you are anticipating it's going to hurt you again, like maybe they're constantly flaking on you or they don't follow through. This is just a tool for that. The next one is called thousand pound expectations. Picture those expectations as like a giant heavy anvil weight that you toss to somebody else that's not expecting to carry it. So if you start to notice yourself doing that, remind yourself, you can and should be happy outside of what anyone else does or doesn't do. It's not somebody else's job to make you happy. You can make yourself happy.
