IEP - How Can You Help Your Child Boost Self-Esteem?

How can you boost self-esteem when the child sees themselves as a failure and loses motivation to even try? You've got to figure out what positive experiences can I put this child in where they'll start seeing evidence that oh I'm actually okay at things. It's tough, but that's the objective. They won't just magically change their mind until they have evidence that refutes that belief.
