How to Socialize With an Autistic Person

Autistic people experience the world in a completely different way than neurotypicals. For autistic people, social interaction can be an anxious and damaging experience. Don't assume it's always going to be a no from the autistic person in your life when you ask them if they would like to go out for dinner or play with their friends. Optional socializing is really important but don't confuse yourself by thinking that all autism sufferers are not capable of these activities.
