The Technical Debt Metaphor

The biggest problem of all with the metaphor, and everyone knows s is that code quality and even feature development, it's all unmeasurable. We don't know how much design is worth. We can't say how much a featurei will actually take until we do it. Whereas money is very measurable, there's still the uncertainty as your business going to do. Ok, is that restaurant really going to make money? But you you know if it is or if it isn't. With design, what is the value of spending another day thinking about a better way to to write the software? What is thevalue of good names? We can't really quatify it.
