Orrartic: Can you give us a basic kind of over view, for the people like me that are very unfamiliar with identity in sociological research? M: I mean, it is all over the place. It becomes a problem when you use it as a category for analysis because you're trying to analyze something with an ambiguous term. But anyway, if i were to lay out a spectrum of ways that the term identity is used, then also mention the ways that sometimes it's conflated.
