Anso: The relationship is deep because the two countries are seeing things in each other that they want to emulate, and that they need from each other. If you're an Indian liberal, you look at Israel and you actually secretly admire them. For Israelis, South Africa was also a first world country, for South African whites. That's the unfortunate thing that people don't really want to understand.
