I mean, i wonder whether the fact that it's a public holiday now has that itself change the nature of the kind of union demonstrations? Is this a broader story of labor unions getting sort of coapted by the existing economic system, or overtime? To a degree, yes. Though you could say, of course, that the demand for an eight hour day and a public holiday are not revolutionary demands at any point, that they are reformists.
