Tendon Repair - Technique and Suture
The only flexor tendon injuries you think we should repair in the emergency department are distal to the DIP, where you can see the ends. The extensor tendon is like a very thin piece of linguini. So use a taper needle. You should use a strong suture. And then the last part is after you wash it out, after you close the skin, split them to detention to repair.
