When the amount of money that you can generate is either superior to the apartment's return or is sufficient for your personal investment goals. So that's a mouthful, but i think those are those arel the cases. Most investors in an apartment building find that their returns, or their expected returns, are higher than than the index fund. It's because your total returns are higher. You can reach a point in your life where you don't care about the highest total returns, but you care about the best life style.
