God's Forgiveness Is Not a Super Power
Derrick: Even if you were to choose to do good, it would not merit your salvation. And god's forgiveness is another example of his mercy. The fact that god gives us the ability to make our own choices doesn't mean our free will overpowers the will of god. It's god's will to give us this a capacity. Just like when a king allows his subjects to make choices within the kingdom, doesn't mean the king loses his sovereignty as the king. That's absurd.
