Why Is It So Expensive?

In Norway for a lot of the products, the farmers don't set the price themselves. Why is that? Is it because the inputs have become so expensive or because they can't sell their crops for a high enough price? I'd say the last one because at least in Norway, I don't know the American agricultural system well enough to be able to predict what's going to happen post COVID. And this has happened for so many years in a slow gradual way. In the same way with the asset with the monetary system, this is all just kicked into gear after.
