I would hope that when the government is essentially pumping large amounts of money into particular firms, that it does make that money conditional on certain behavior changes. I think a good example would be airlines posing rises in fuel duty. You know, air fuel is one of the most under-tax energy commodities. And I would certainly make the imposition of fuel duty a condition of any continuing support to the airline industry.
