I thought I'd been driving electric cars for a long time, but I'm in 2009. My first EV was a Ford Ranger EV that was one of the few that had a nickel metal hydride battery pack. And that battery pack lasted till COVID till 2000. That's a 20 year life out of a battery. Yes. But is that the same battery chemistry that Toyota used in the Prius? Is it the same or similar battery system? It's not the same.
