Michael Barry bought New York Community Bank Corp., Capital One, and Western Alliance. He also bought Pack West, Huntington Bank shares, and First Republic. To me, this seems like a basket bet. I think he goes, you know what, I can't tell which one of these is going to outperform the rest. But if you buy a diversified basket of cigar butts then maybe on the whole, you come out slightly ahead.
