Sacramental Signification Is Unique
When we start talking about sacraments, we are talking about a specific kind of sign. And this is the unique, right? Sacramental signification is unique because it's also connected to causality. In baptism, when we are signifying cleansing, that's actually happening in a spiritual way. So by the water being poured, the cleansing is taking place. The church creates these rights inspired by the Holy Spirit around the essential form.
